We took 70 young, inter-disciplinary designers from around the world, put them in one room, gave them no money and asked them to create 34 innovative products and services and bring them to market in three months. Then, we got out of their way and watched.
After last year’s success, the Politecnico di Milano, Facolta del Design again opens the vola alto - flying high event on the Bovisa Campus from 12.00pm – 3.00pm on the 21st of June, 2007. These limited production products are the result of the Concept Design Studio by Prof. Mc
Nally and Prof. Girardi in the new international “Product Service System Design Course”,
during which - in a period of 12 weeks - students from Asia, Africa, South America and
Europe concept, develop and produce product editions for sale, “The Project should
prepare the Students for the real World” says Prof. Mc Nally, where “these young designers
test their talents and creativity in the market.”
Abbiamo preso 70 designer interdisciplinari da tutto il mondo, li abbiamo messi in una stanza, non abbiamo dato lor alcun denaro ed è stato chiesto di creare 34 prodotti e servizi innovativi e portarli sul mercato entro tre mesi. Hanno tutti preso una loro via e staremo a vedere.
Dopo il successo dello scorso anno, il Politecnico di Milano, Facoltà del Design, ospita ancora l'evento vola alto - flying high presso il Campus Bovisa di via Durando 10, dalle 12 alle 15 del 21 giugno pv.Questi prodotti in serie limitata sono il risultato del corso Concept Design Studio tenuto dai prof. Norman Mc Nally e Silvia Girardi all'interno del nuovo Master internazionale in Product Service System Design, durante il quale - in un periodo di 12 settimane - designers da tutto il mondo, hanno progettato e sviluppato prodotti per il mercato. “Il progetto nasce dalla volontà di preparare gli studenti all'incontro con il mondo reale” sostiene Mc Nally, dove “il talento e la creatività di questi giovani designers dovrà confrontarsi col m
ercato.”
